Uh Oh

Got a call tonight from a gal I know down the street... a friend of hers that lives between us lost a horse and a dog last night - to a MOUNTAIN LION! I'm headed out of town tomorrow morning with 2 horses and 2 dogs but now I am worried about the rest of them... please pray for safety for all of us!!!

Holy crap! How awful for them. Did they find the moutain lion and destory it? I sure would be spot lighting the next couple of nights and take care of that problem real fast.
praying for you and your animals!

OH no! Praying and thinking positive safety thoughts for you and your critters!

My husband was on his way out the other evening and watched a mountain lion crossing the road right in front of him.....only 1 mile north of our house! Scary!

And last month a child was attacked by a juvenile mountain lion here in the Sandias about 12 miles from us.
Wonder what's going on with mountain lions? Not even deer to eat?

They are everywhere!!

Losses around here this year too. One of Megan's classmates called her the other night and was telling her that they have had a couple of foals disappear and two of their dogs are gone. One of their neighbors heard his dog going crazy, then a yelp and then nothing. He walked outside with a flashlight and was calling the dog. Walked under a tree and the dog fell on him....I would have had an accident in my pants, if that happened to me. Cause at that point, you just know what else was in that tree too. By the time he got back outside with the gun, it was gone.

Twinville-ML's are sneaky killers. It's not that there isn't enough wildlife, it's just easier to kill something that is penned up vs. having to stalk another wild animal. And there are getting to be too darn many of them.

Keeping my fingers crossed that everything stays safe at your house PPR.
