Doom And Gloom

i have said it before, i am not just apolitical, i am ANTIpolitical... i am also NOT "religious" - for me, it's all about my RELATIONSHIP with God...

that said, i am wearing black today. yup. to me it is unbelievable that a country of Christian people could vote the way they did. hold on to your hats, folks, we are in for it. it feels like 9/11 all over again, BUT SNEAKIER...

i usually stick my head in the sand when it comes to politics, but i pulled it out and registered to vote in this particular election - not for political reasons, i wouldn't care if a certain person was Republican or Democrat or independent or whatever... but i sure don't see that it did any good at all.

excuse me, i am going to go bury my head BACK in the sand and PRAY for my country now...

"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord"

I'm right there standing beside you, praying like crazy, and terrified beyond belief, for our country, our people, our beliefs and morals.

This is going to be a scary 4 years. I just hope we all survive.

Sincerely,
Lisa

I am also wearing black today. I do stay politically educated & active, because politics affects you & me, & our children all day, every day. Many great men & women sacrificed all to give us the opportunity for freedom. Yesterday our freedom was given away by people who are frightened by freedom.

"You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred.
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away man's initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves."

I, too, stand in fear of what may lie ahead for America. I lost friends and brother Fire Fighters and EMTs in 9-11, and hope and pray that we do not see something like that again.

Time to go cling to my God and my Guns huh?

Let us all be strong PPR- this next four years might could be pretty damn long.

Hi Susan, I'm right there with you girl. I am not party affiliated and have voted for candidates in both parties in the past. I have always voted though since I turned 18. Women of long ago suffered and sacrificed to ensure our right to vote. Even my 83 year old Grandmother hobbled to the voting booth to cast her ballot. I am so disappointed today that so many people can turn a blind eye to so many big problems with our new president elect!! And I am not talking about his skin color. Where is it he was born?! Is he really an American citizen? Why would people in Africa and Indonesia and other places give a hoot as to our Presidential elections? I am scared to see what it is he intends to "change"!! I don't understand how anyone can vote against John McCain, but then that is just me. The man is a hero and has always been in "service" to his country. What does this say about Americans that we would cast him aside in favor of Obama? Hopefully we will still have our freedoms and not turn into a communist nation.

After reading yours and several others blogs today regarding the outcome of this election, I decided to lay out my feelings and research out on my blog. I had avoided doing that before, so as not to alienate anyone, but I just can't keep it inside any longer.

If you're interested, you can check it out on my Laughing Orca Ranch Blog.

Hang in there all,
