WAHOOOOOOO Success!!!

LOOK!!!!!

Went out to the dogs tonight with Mikey and the borrowed trap.

On the way out there I was blessed to be in the presence of Princess Mercy...

...who was kind enough to share - hence "Princess Grandma"!

I would have helped, really, but I was taking pictures and she wouldn't wait for me!

Placed it in the trailer door because that is the dogs' safe spot and where they run when we try to round them up.

While she was doing that Mercy and I found a couple of "decorated" fence posts {shudder}

Put some food out to try and keep them close and out of trouble...

And some water Mikey found (sorry it was getting dark!) Luckily there are several full barrels so we won't have to haul water out there!

Mikey's Mom moved the truck down the drive, Mercy and I started circling the property, Mikey still inside closer, and flushed one out from under another trailer. It ran straight at the trailer and BAM the trap shut.

Poor dog was quite beside itself but did calm down quickly. We carried the trap with dog (me bemoaning leaving gloves at home!) and tied it into the back of Mikey's truck

and away we went. The dog will go in Mikey's kennel tonight and Animal Control will be getting a call first thing. Mikey says if they don't come get the dog, next call is to the media...

Mikey says it's a "he" and he is settled in... poor old thing!

Oh, my gosh, that trailer creeps me out. There's a glass sitting there that the old man must have took a swig from, and then set it down...and then a some point, died. And lay there. And... aaaaack!Gives me the willies. Fed my own dog a little extra tonight, just to make sure that if I drop over dead, he'll leave me be...

Ew! What are those--the skulls from his dead dogs?!? So sick... you are so brave to be out there catching those dogs--thank you thank you thank you!!!
I was recently just starting to get used to living out here "on the ranch" and letting my kids play outside with me inside watching dishes and the window open--I think I'll stop doing that!!
My neighbor told me they killed 4 calves last week and all of another neighbors dogs--my 2 year old would be a walk in the park.
I can't thank you enough!
