Susan, you have the Lord, your family friends and the critters. That's all it takes to make Christmas. Give each one a piece of your heart (which you already have done). The Lord will Bless you this Holiday Season. Much love and many hugs, Karen
I've only visited the US once at Christmas, and then I was amazed by the decorations, inflatable figures, etc on peoples' properties.
Out there in rural Pennsylvania I heard the sad tale of a family whose house burnt down because they had so overloaded the wires in their supply powering all those decorations.
That won't happen to you! But you will be blessed for your goodness.
Lovin' life with 16 mini donkeys, 3 mini horses, 1 pony, 4 big horses, 1 mini mule, 12 dogs, 2 cats, 3 goats, 2 hens, 2 zebu (mini cows), 5 kids (and assorted grandhorses and granddogs) and, saving the best for last, my wonderful husband Randy ;)

that is FUNNY!! :)
Christmas is in your heart. It doesn't matter about the lights. You can make it special with scarecely any money.
