Not a Lay-Off BUT...
I just found out that as of July 1st I will be on a 4-day work week - I will LOVE LOVE LOVE having Fridays off work BUT - that is a 20% pay cut! Yikes, what next... Randy is out of work, this month is the last child support check... guess we will continue slimming and trimming! Craigslist will soon be our new best friend lol...

Oh gosh, there is a lot of this going around. My company has done pay cuts, followed by a layoff (or "action" as they like to call it) and I expect more to come. Maybe a reduced work week like yours. Nice to have the time off, but not so good to lose the pay. It becomes a layoff as in 'lay off the shopping' and 'lay off the dining out'. Sorry.
