Today my favorite boss called me in to talk to me... It seems that the "big" boss has decided to leave the firm. And the two being left behind can't do it alone so the firm will be dissolving. Yup you guessed it, I am losing my job! And no, Randy hasn't found anything yet...
The good news is, I have time to look for another one... worst case scenario my job disappears at the end of the year... best case probably June of 2010...
Guess I will be whipping out the resume and updating it!
And poor Taffy Jo has bad abcesses in BOTH front feet! Found one last night, she wouldn't even let me pick up the other foot. Josh from CarrollFarm was over and mentioned some stuff Wade used on his horse, and since Wade was coming today to do the big horses, he was kind enough to take a look at Taffy Jo, found the second abcess and treated both, then called me and told me how to follow up. And the poor old gal is going to deliver, I'm guessing, within the next few weeks...
So I will be e-mailing Mikey to pick her brain. Amazingly enough, despite multiple equines over the last 12+ years, I don't know a darn thing about abcesses... guess that's a good thing huh? We've been really fortunate with our horses and donkeys and mules...

Oh no! I had no idea about your job. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for something for you.
Wade said those abcesses were bad ones. Keep an eye on them and let us know how she does. Things should get a lot better when she foals and gets that weight off those feet :)
Oh, Susan. Wish I had something profound to say. I don't. Been there. Done that. It sucks, doesn't it?
