If It's Not One Thing, It's Another... or FIVE!

So, my friend Fawn was coming over tonight to pick up Cupcake the baby donkey, she is going to play grandma while I am gone this weekend so that Hilary doesn't have quite such a full plate... I got a call from another friend, Rose, as I was leaving work, in a bit of a panic because she came home to find FIVE GOATS in her yard... well she doesn't have proper fencing to keep the little things safe, and lots of coyotes out by her, so long story short, Fawn and her husband, who are also friends of Rose, picked ME up instead of the baby donkey... went to Rose's and it took FOUR of us to capture 5 little goats... got them into Fawn's trailer and back to my house we went, put the five goats in my goat pen and loaded up the baby donkey and all her stuff, and off they went.

Does something about this seem WRONG to you????? I wonder if it's karma because I was gloating to Mikey that I get to meet Deb... so is my life turning into Mikey's????? If so, Randy is REALLY going to kill me...

The good news is, the goats look fat and sassy and well cared for, so we are hopeful that they merely escaped, and were not dumped... if they were dumped I'd expect them to not look so good... If we are lucky an owner will show up VERY SOON and take them back, preferably for Hilary's sake before I leave tomorrow... but if not, well, even five goats are easier to care for than one "infant" donkey...

And if no owner shows up at all... well... they are so darn cute I already want to keep them, but I sure don't need this. Luckily one of Rose's neighbors has already claimed two...
