Frances is a remarkable woman. Andria and I first met her over 10 years ago on an Arizona Desert Riders Wickenburg Ride. We rode along chatting for a bit and then, as happens on a trail ride, parted company. Later Andria said to me, "I want to be like Frances when I grow up" and I said "ME TOO!"
Frances had a goal: to ride her horse until she was 90. Well, today we attended a surprise party for her 90th birthday. While there I asked her, now that she has met that goal, did she have another one? And almost before I shut my mouth she said "100!" with a big grin...
As for me, I STILL want to be like Frances when I grow up!

Wow, that's really special. I can only hope that I can make it to 90. And to be in good enough shape to sit on a horse? Wow. What a remarkable woman. :)
Oh awesome, I'm so glad you went! We were invited but couldn't make it due to work! Frances is a wonderful lady, and it's amazing that she still rides, saddles her own horse and gets up there on her own. I think we all want to be Frances :)
I want to be Frances too.
